This unique training package combines specialised language and communication training with an introduction to the European Union, using English as a working language. The main focus of the seminar is on understanding and using EU terminology, which also helps people increase their knowledge and understanding of relevant EU facts as we talk about EU structure, institutions and law; in addition, participants improve their ability to communicate effectively in English at a European level, e.g. taking part in meetings or presenting and discussing EU-related issues.

Examples of tailoring

This seminar was originally designed for Ministry experts dealing with EU affairs (e.g. as members of Council Working Groups), and we continue to offer this package to this target group, both in Austria and abroad, for mixed groups of civil servants as well as for groups of experts from a particular institution, with a special focus on their field of work (e.g. environmental protection).

We have also adapted this seminar for other target groups such as education experts, as well as scientists from a large research institute, tailoring the programme to their respective communication needs in connection with EU projects.
